In order to calculate the Reject Level from a known leak rate, you must first measure the internal volume of the test aparatus, fittings and adapters. Connect a 1 cc or smaller syringe to the same port that will be used to test the product. Hold the plunger closed and press the start button. During the test phase, slowly retract the syringe plunger a small amount, say .05 to .1 cc. As the syringe plunger moves, the resulting pressure decay will appear on the screen. Record both values once they stabilize. If you need more time, increase the test time. Enter the values into the boxes below and click the button to calculate the volume, then continue on to Step 2.
